Step1

Check out the spiral staircase in the National Museum. The story goes that the building was formerly a monastery, and visitors claim to see priestly apparitions coming down the staircase. Guests also claim to feel as though they are being tripped or pushed by unseen forces near the stairway! Due to all the paranormal activity there, the staircase is now closed off, but try to take some photos and see if you find a spectral priest. Purchase your museum tickets online at the link provided below.

Step2

Go ghost hunting in the old Changi Hospital. This is a well-known haunted location checked out by the local paranormal society in Singapore. The building has a lot of history including a connection with World War II and the torturous treatment of prisoners of war here. There are lots of places to check out here so click on the link in the Resources below to hear more from the Singapore Paranormal Investigations here.

Step3

Make a vigil at the Bukit Brown Cemetery. This ornate gem, also known as Kopi Hill, is filled with weird energy and a really spooky atmosphere. The story goes that the government may “relocate” the tombs here, as land is at a premium in this part of the world--so make your trip there now to see if you can find some spirits before they become disgruntled!

Step4

Battle box Walk around Fort Canning. This fort was named and put into commission in the mid 1800s and was not only a military fort but a bit of a cemetery as well! Try some EVP work (electronic voice phenomenon) in the old Battle Box.

Step5

Orbs on Devils Bend Stop at Devil’s Bend, a well-known haunted location surrounded by lore and legends. Located on Old Thomson Road, this curvy road is the sight of plenty of fatal accidents. Locals claim that orbs and an oppressive feeling are present here, which makes this spot worth checking out.

Step6

Hanging Trees from Singapore Paranormal Investigation webpage Take a cruise over to Galang Island. This is the location of so much grief and torment that it’s no wonder it’s haunted! Once a Vietnamese refugee camp and home to great crimes against humanity, many refugees committed suicide or were killed under questionable conditions. There was a mass suicide when refugees were told they were going to be sent back to Vietnam, and the over 500 graves pay tribute to their sorrow. Ghostly happenings occur around the “Body Tree” where people hung themselves and orbs appear here on nighttime photos. Do some EVP work here as well. Follow the link provided below for ferry information and tours.

try out the dark pathway behind Downtown East, right behind the carpack @ Aranda Resort or whatever the place is called.

i was walking there with a friend sometime back and when i got nearer to the swamp area, i had the uneasy feeling of being watched. i took a glance over to the swamp area and i saw many disembodied heads staring back at me, watching as we walked past. of course my friend was oblivious to the whole thing and kept talking but i sort of sped up the pace and we walked away quickly.

just before we got out of sight of the swamp area, i turned back to look again to be sure that it wasn't a figment of my imagination and the disembodied heads were still looking at us as we walked away.

i went back to do some research and realized that area was previously a japanese execution ground where many locals were beheaded.

this has since been confirmed by another friend of mine who happened to walked past the same area and had the exact same experience.

maybe you'd like to go check it out for yourself...

as for the Old Changi General Hospital, i've sneaked in before and i do not intend to do it again.

that place is teeming with supernatural forces and spirits, ESPECIALLY the mortuary (but of course) and trust me on this, there is a general feeling of dread and uneasiness inside that whole place.

i don't usually fear spirits much because i can sense and see them, but i will not go back into OCGH again because i genuinely felt fear there and i will not guarantee that you will not be harmed by being in there.

that place has history.

judging from the kind of reputation it is beginning to have, i suspect the current CGH will be just as bad if ever the building is vacated haha...

Ridz, the water theme park is on the other side bro. Nick was mentioning abt the other side, nearer to the bus interchange. along the path tt leads to pasri ris park will be exercise stations on the right and a swamp/ river bed watever on the left. the heads wld probably be "penanggal" derived from the words tanggal which means break off. ;) so, add pe, it simply mean to break off.. wahaha these are heads wif entrails still attached... yea, they normally look... they will move forward if they fancy the blood down under if u noe wat i mean... these heads are owned.. not like facebook kinda owned yea... they do biddin for a price.

OCGH is reali, hw shd i say this... different... i used to hit places like dis, but each tym i drive past it, smtg tells me tt plc is nt for fun... wen i was serving, we still send our patients there... i ever slept at the ambulance station there many times... even then, wif all the ppl, it was kinda eerie... tts the A&E. but the wards... nw tts a different thing all together... might nt be as dark as the A&E down below.. bt it's like a different plane altogether...

i must agree wif u nick, no guarantee of nt being harmed... and before u enter up the slope, there's the govt chalet. one long building of chalet from A to F... yea... tts a hot number too.. Heard a lot of stories there.. woman on the window sill... thankfully, i felt nothing and seen nothing wen i was there... ;)

Jules - I stayed overnight at my school mates birthday chalet. In the room on the second floor facing the forested area behind, i felt a bit uneasy la but at that time i was a bit noobish to this kin of feeling, so i didn't care much. We were playing some card games and truth and dare uh, then i was unlucky enough to kena dare to stand in the balcony of the room at around 2.30 am. The balcony has a door seperating from the room. SO wth, i just did la, even though i admit i was damn afraid to do so. I stepped out, stayed there for five minutes(which seemed like forever) and nothing happened. Then one of my guy friend kena my dare. But when he wanted to go out into the balcony, i just got a shock of my life when i saw a lady in white looking towards our room. when i blinked again, it was just so vclosed to our balcony window, that i just shouted out and just slammed the door shut and dragged my friend iback to the group. freaky sia. i guess my friends knew what was happening, so we all just kept quiet and went to sleep.

I had a fall when I was about 9 years old. It was a family gathering at Ghim Moh Road. Being kids, we love to jump on the bed. I had a fall and was rushed to Alexandra Hospital.

My dad was in Kuala Lumpur during the incident therefore mum stayed with me in the hospital.

One night, mum had a great urge to relieve herself. I was too grogy from the medicine to accompany her. She braced herself to the loo. She came back less than 2 minutes.

I asked that was fast! She asked where is the urine bowl. She didn't answer my question but just squad beside me and relieve herself. I knew something was not right.

When I was discharged, I overhead my mum's conversation with dad. She actually saw "The Rocker" in the toilet. She did not want to frighten me back then.

If I recalled correctly, it was either Ward 7 or Ward 8.

My dad was admitted to General Hospital due to nerve problem sometime ago.

My dad normally prays on his bed. The first night he was admitted, he saw an elderly lady staring at him in a peculiar way. Strange, the bed was empty when he was admitted earlier. There were 4 beds in the ward.

When he woke up, the elderly lady was not there. He asked the nurse on duty who was that elderly lady resting on the bed diagonally opposite his. She died of diabetes few minutes before my dad was admitted.

On the 2nd night in the SGH, my dad startled from his sleep around midnight. He makes his way to the loo to perform ablution for praying.

Beside being stubborn, my dad has strong will power. When he reached the loo door, he opened it and guess where he was? Entrance of a Hindu Temple. Talk about being in 2 places at a time!

He closed the door and utter prayers and opened to see it again. Walking painfully back to his ward to make use of the basin to perform ablution, he saw an apparition scratching the window of the ward.

Every night he was challenged with new events. From then on, he performed prayers earlier when my mum or family around to minimize the challenges.

My place was surrounded with plenty of Guava trees when I grew up. I am staying in the West Coast of Singapore.

My uncle lived the opposite block. Being a light sleeper, he normally wakes up about 3am to light a ciggy and stand nearby his kitchen window to chill.

It was a rainy season. As he was smoking, he saw "The Rocker" holding what looks like a baby on one of the guava trees.

My dad and uncles grew up in Kampong therefore these incident are a norm to them.

My dad and uncles grew up in Pasir Panjang quarters. Currently the MAS Building. The sea is just steps away. On the left side of the house is a mini jungle where there's coconut trees and plantations.

One midnight while everyone is asleep, my late grandmother was busy in the kitchen cleaning up after cooking. My dad couldn't sleep therefore peek into the kitchen to check out what's my granny doing.

To his astonishment, my grandmother went out of the kitchen and screamed, "Ali! Climbed down the coconut tree this instance!" My dad was shaken coz, Ali (one of my elder uncles), was already fast asleep in the living room.

Even better, she went into the jungle! Of course, she didn't see my uncle! She walked back to the house as per normal. She never mentioned it to anyone but my dad lives to tell.

, i got ghost story for you , but my english is poor i`m french canadian lol . vietnam goverment want to close the refugee camp of Galang Island ( now is the top 6 most haunted place for the people living at singapour )back then 1993 it got like 120 death today they report more 500 tombstone, they call the island heaven and hell , you got the chance to be accept but also refuse by other country, we vietnamese pass at least 5 day 6 night on the sea and all our fortune were spend to be in the boat , most of us prefer suicide when refuse ( maybe you already heard the story of 2 sister hanging on the haunted giant three or the story of the younger brother that prefer suicide with his girlfriend that leaving her). My family live in long house galang2 , with window every 4m , just 2 long bed for all the family but the first meter of the bed is alway empty, they say a young adult male suicide by burning himself and he return sometime to strangle you at the night. my father were strangle 1 day all he can remember is the huge shadow jumping from the window , the shadow seat on his chest he don`t even got time to scream but my mom hear him crying and kick him thinking he got a nightmar but that save him from the torture, mom still remember 1 old lady becoming more and more crazy living with us . when mom was pregnant 1 day she could`t escape from the toilette she could`t found the door handle ,a ghost blind her. the day my brother was born , before she arrive to the hospital she got to pass by the haunted cemetary of galang 2 ,right in that moment the break AND the gasoline cables on the scooter were simply cut , the driver was good so he don`t need to stop he use the hight coast to take a swing and the rear break. that is just my family ghost story but we were toundsands back them .
