CES in Las Vegas is a large event for businesses producing consumer technologies. Running each year for more than 40 years, the exhibition has made a name for itself in the industry, with hundreds of exhibitors attending and visitors flocking in their thousands.
While exhibitors find the event a great opportunity to show off their products, the competition to attract visitors to their stands can be steep, and many struggle to find new and interesting ways to grab attendees’ attention.
But Canon came up with a great way to turn heads, by demonstrating three of the mechanisms operating its lenses.
Canon showed how its STM lenses are able to focus smoothly, the electromagnetic technology used to control aperture, and how image stabilization works for its lenses, and the demonstrations had the audience enthralled.
You can see the demo for yourself in this video:
We think you’ll agree that it’s fascinating to watch, and a great reminder of the hard work and complex technology that goes into our cameras. It’s worth remembering the next time you click your camera’s shutter!
