How to get rid of ghosts and protect yourself from evil entities

If you feel you are being haunted, first you might want to tape a string across the bottom of your door and leave flour on the floor to make sure no one is playing a trick on you. If you are sure that what you have been experiencing is no hoax, do not fear. Ghosts only seem to really harm people in the movies. In real life, the most they can do is scare a person. Areas with a lot of water seem to be the most active. This may be because it helps a certain electric charge. In Chicago, the most haunted places are near Lake Michigan or on the south side by the rivers. Most people are afraid of what they do not understand, so acknowledging what you are witnessing is the first step. Once you have done this, all medians really do to scare a ghost away is ask it to leave. It might sound silly, but so does being haunted. Just kindly tell the ghost you regret there is not enough room for the both of you and to please leave. You can add that it's presence could have had a purpose and thank it for visiting but that you would like to be left alone. There can be a chance that a person is being influenced by an evil entity. In this case, it would be important to take care of this problem so you can be the best you. Pagans have certain rituals for this which include praying to St. Michael, the Archangel, to protect them from the evil spirits. Buying a dried bundle of sage can help get rid of bad energies. Simply light the end of it, blow it out, and use it to fill your home with it's calming smoke. Go around each room while saying a prayer to bless the room (no matter what religion, if any) and don't forget to stream the smoke on all four sides of the entrances. It is also recommended to circle yourself with the smoke and even put some under your feet and over your head. Do this for anyone that enters your home as well so that they don't bring any bad energy with them. Lighting candles, particularly white candles, are commonly used to stay protected. Most importantly, whether you want to be protected from ghosts or just be protected, always believe in truth and love. You can picture yourself being surrounded by a white light. Some people refer to their religion when describing this light. Others describe it as being inside a big bright egg. Just remember, if you are a vulnerable soul that finds it hard to be present (one that may be especially sad or angry at the time or even intoxicated), definitely don't hunt ghosts.
